The Colony Thank You Austin!
As the final chapter of the season closes, the Colony and your Austin Ice Bats want to take a moment to say one thing above all else, thank you Austin.
From Cedar Park to Austin and every surrounding community that showed up, supported, and believed in us; this season was built on you. Your energy, your presence, and your passion made every game unforgettable.
A Season of Growth and Milestones
While the Bats finished the regular season with the same record as last year, the story doesn’t end there. This year marked major progress for the organization.
- 2nd place finish in the division
- First-ever home playoff series
- First trip to the division finals
This wasn’t just another season—it was a record-setting step forward for the Austin Ice Bats.
First Round Playoffs: A Statement at Home
Hosting our first-ever home playoff series was something special. Playing in front of our fans made all the difference.
March 13th – March 15th:
- Game 1: Loss, 6–4
- Game 2: Win, 6–2
- Game 3: Win to clinch the series
The defining moment?
A statement performance by Gavin Morris, recording the first playoff shutout in Bats history with a 5–0 win in the final game of the series to send us to the second round.
Division Finals Battle
With little time to rest, the Bats turned around quickly to face the Brahmas in the division finals.
March 18th – March 20th:
- Game 1: Loss, 3–1
- Game 2: Win, 2–0 (another Gavin Morris playoff shutout)
- Final Game: Hard-fought loss, 3–2 in OT
Even in defeat, the fight, resilience, and growth of this team was undeniable.
