The Corpus Christi Ice Rays held their NAHL Pre-draft camp in Austin, Texas this past weekend. It was ran in partnership with the Austin Ice Bats of the NA3HL. Austin Ice Bats Head Coach and GM Kirk Golden, Assistant Coach Bailey Dorf, and Ice Bats Goalie Coach Peter Brady all helped on the ice, on the bench, and in the stands throughout the three day event. About 50 skaters from High School hockey, 16/18u AA, 16/18u AAA, Prep School, USPHL Elite & Premier, EHL, and the NA3HL were all able to show their skills in front of Corpus Christi coaching and recruiting staff. Each player and goalie played 5 games, and the netminders had a goalie session as well. A lot of talent was on display for the NAHL Pre-draft camp. Selected players from the tryout will now move onto Corpus Christi’s Main Camp in Detroit, MI July 10-14, for a chance to make the season’s preliminary roster. The Austin Ice Bats are also looking to fill a few spots on their season roster.
The Austin Ice Bats and Corpus Christi Ice Rays organizations would like to thank all players and their families that attended the camp! Both organizations would also like to thank all ice arena and Crossover facility staff for helping run a smooth weekend!
